A practical, beginner-friendly introduction to Artificial Intelligence for people in the social sector — learn how generative AI works, how to talk to it, and how to use it responsibly in your organisation.
No technical background needed — just curiosity and a laptop or phone.
What AI is (and isn’t), how generative AI tools like chatbots and image generators actually work, and how to write clear prompts that get you useful, reliable answers.
Work hands-on with different AI tools on everyday NPO tasks — drafting proposals and reports, donor and community communication, social media content, summarising documents and making sense of data.
More practical NPO use cases, then the ethics and governance of AI — data privacy, bias, accuracy and transparency — and how to set simple, sensible AI-use guidelines for your organisation.
After the live sessions, put what you learn to work on your own organisation’s tasks through four weekly assignments on Moodle.
Live classes on 12, 13 and 14 November, followed by four hands-on tasks done at your own pace each week.
