Workshop on Christian Management

CIM held a workshop on Christian Management at the Kanyakumari Theological College (KKTC) in Muttom, Kanyakumari. The one-day event, which took place on February 6, focused on "Christian Management and the Three Great Directives," emphasising the concept's importance within charitable institutions.

The workshop introduced participants to the three great directives: the Great Commitment (Creation Mandate), the Great Commandment (Love Mandate), and the Great Commission (Discipling Mandate). Dr. Mercia Justin, the Director of Management Programmes, noted that these directives are foundational pillars for growth and development. The session was inspired by Discipling Marketplace Leaders (DML), USA, which promotes the development of entrepreneurs.

The event catered to two groups of leaders: those with over four years of experience in the Church of South India (CSI) Kanyakumari Diocese undertaking their foundation course, and those enrolled in the Bachelor of Divinity programme. The sessions included an introduction to Christian Management and an overview of Discipling Marketplace Leaders and the Three Great Directives.

Participants engaged actively in the interactive sessions and expressed positive feedback regarding the content provided. The workshop aimed to equip leaders with the necessary managerial skills for greater organisational efficacy. It reaffirmed CIM's commitment to promoting managerial excellence in charitable institutions.
